Walk Strong is an opportunity for schools and organizations to connect with the homeless and needy in their community. Participants learn about the critical issue of homelessness and the Mission’s vision for helping the needy. By hosting a walk, participants raise funding for the Mission to keep vital programs and services growing and actively changing lives.
Ten years ago, Walk Strong was founded. Due to the program’s continued growth, it has inspired thousands of participants to lend a helping hand to those in need. After the walk, a guest from the Mission’s Changed Life Recovery Program shares testimony about fighting addiction or struggling with homelessness.
In 2016, over 1,500 walkers participated, 11 organizations hosted walks and over $20,000 was raised to benefit the homeless in our community!
