Trusting in God’s Goodness

Through some of the most difficult seasons of her life, Noelle has learned to trust God not only for her daily bread but also for her future. She entered the Faith House 90-Day program in 2016 for the first time. However, as time went by, she continued to struggle under the weight of responsibility of being a single mom with two young children. After losing custody of her children and moving in with her mother, Noelle admits, “I hit rock bottom. I gave up hope.”

But a glimmer of faith ignited a simple prayer to God for help. His answer came quickly. Later that very day, Faith House Director Terri Gray reached out to Noelle just to follow up with her and to talk about her progress. “I was astonished at the outcome of my prayer! God was showing me that I had a place to go and people to help me. I could get it right this time,” she says.

Noelle moves into her apartment

She entered the Faith House Transitional Living Program and moved into an apartment, where she is thrilled to have her children now for three days each week. “It’s been a long road. I am trusting God to help me support my kids on my own. I am going to keep working, taking care of my kids, paying rent, providing food, praying, and reading His Word. I’m just going to keep trusting in Him.” Her favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

“This truth pertains to my whole life,” says Noelle. “It covers everything I’ve gone through. I trust in Him because He knows the plans He has for me – and I’ve seen the outcome!”
