Remembering Susan Pushkin

Susan Linda Pushkin was a woman of uncommon creativity, imagination, and ambition. Her blunt and honest style as a real estate agent won respect and loyalty among her customers, and her skill as a master crafter delighted her clients. Her vision and drive opened doors for countless other crafters when she helped to bring the Frederick Craft Fair to the Frederick Fairgrounds.

Susan is remembered for her sharp intellect and quick wit. She was a dancer, a model, an artist, and a humanitarian; she was renowned for her generosity, supporting multiple charities.

Susan passed away from cancer on July 8, 2019, but even in death, Susan made an impact: the generous gift she left for Frederick Rescue Mission still affects lives today, three years after her passing. As her birthday approaches on August 29th, we are grateful to remember this vibrant woman and her far-reaching legacy.

If you have thought about leaving a gift to the Mission through your will or estate plan, Jasmine Sneed would be delighted to talk with you about the Lighthouse Society and can be reached at (301) 695-6633 x210.
