Each year the Mission collects backpack supplies for two purposes:
1—So our residents can send them home to their children, if they have any, and
2—To ensure those whom we serve daily have the adequate supplies needed for the coming school year.
We’ve provided supplies for an average of 150 – 200 students each year over the past several years, and we expect the need to be just as great this year.
This year we’re accepting donations now through the beginning of September. We consistently have a special need for the backpacks themselves, but we also need:

USB Flash Drives
Donations can be dropped of at our front desk Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, and all donors will receive a tax receipt at that time, if wanted. You can also drop them off Saturdays from 9am – 4pm at our side entrance. If you have any questions, contact Teri at 301-695-6633 x215 or email her.
