What We DoWhy does the Frederick Rescue Mission exist? We believe in the spiritual, physical, emotional, and educational restoration and enhancement for all of God's people through the love of Christ. What we do here as individuals is not as important as why we do it. Every so often we are asked, "What does the Rescue Mission do"? This may also mean, "why should I invest my money, time, and heart into the Rescue Mission out of hundreds of other non-profits"? The way to know is simple: if you want to see that the first sentence of this paragraph is fulfilled, then join with us to do what one person cannot do alone. It is so important for our friends and brothers and sisters to not only want to help, but to also believe in what the Mission is doing here. Since 1964, we continue to exist because of God's Grace through givers like you who have a desire to help broken people and share the Gospel. Every day, the Mission gets a step closer to the Vision of having 100 men who are passionate followers of Jesus Christ, victorious over addiction, connected to a local church, equipped with a G.E.D or better, set with a solid financial foundation, as well as, to continue being Frederick County's largest food service provider for the homeless community. The Mission acts through the Changed Life Recovery Program, Lindsey Learning Center, Recycling Services, Bread of Life Community Kitchen, Administrative Offices, and New Life Chapel, but the calling can only be fulfilled once you decide or continue to believe in and serve with the Frederick Rescue Mission through gifts of funds, time, love. Thank the Almighty for all that you do!
"Everybody can be great because anybody can serve....You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. And you can be that servant." -Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
