Residential Services

Our Beacon House accommodates over 40 residents who are without homes, and have life-damaging dependencies.  With strong spiritual leaders to teach the Gospel, residents gain a sense of family under the Lord Jesus Christ.  Residents go through the Change Life Recovery Program.  This requires cleansing the body and spirit of dependency through pastoral counseling and discipleship, and developing a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. 

The Changed Life Recovery Program offered at Beacon House is a twelve month comprehensive residential program for men.  Each man participating the program just be committed to conquering his addiction to drugs or alcohol by fully engaging in every aspect of the program.

The Frederick Rescue Mission takes a holistic approach to the recovery of drug and alcohol addictions.  By providing Christian based recovery materials, individual pastoral counseling, partnering with area churches, businesses, educational facilities, and other service providers we deliver the greatest opportunity for each man to succeed in his journey to overcome a life dominated by chemical dependency.

In an atmosphere of love, acceptance, accountability, and forgiveness...The staff of Beacon House receives each new man believing that it is not important where the man has been or what he has done, but where he is today and the places Jesus will take him tomorrow and into his future.  Every man was created on purpose with a purpose and we are dedicated in assisting each man find his purpose in life.

It is not enough to just create a safe place where men can sustain from using drugs and alcohol.  Every man at one time in his life did not use drugs or alcohol...it was something (someone) missing in his life that led him to us for the first time.  We believe it was not a missing thing, but a life without Jesus!
