The Mission’s Rescued Treasures Voucher Program provides gently used clothing and furniture to needy families and individuals. By partnering with the Frederick Community Action Agency and the Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs the Mission provides free quality clothing and furniture to our community’s working poor. As the cost of housing in Frederick continues to escalate to an all time high, many working families are faced with tough financial decisions every day. Single mothers must decide to pay the utility bill or purchase clothing for their growing children. The Mission’s Rescued Treasures Voucher Program is there to help make this tough decision a little less burdensome. By providing free clothing, including warm coats, dry boots, and other necessities the Mission helps to relieve this financial dilemma. Whether it is clothing for the children or a sofa and chair for their family room, the Mission is there to assist with these needs. Every day needy men, women, and children come to the Mission for help with these items and more. The Mission’s staff, residents, and volunteers count it a blessing to be able to serve these folks with dignity and as valued children of a loving God. The Mission is dedicated to meet each need to the best of our ability; the task is huge and cannot be done without the support of a caring community. If you are interested in donating gently used clothing or furniture, please contact our Recycling Department at (301) 695-6633 ext. 107. Together we can make life better for those in need.
