Frederick Rescue Mission is "Home" to Many During Holidays

The Frederick Rescue Mission is Frederick County’s largest food service provider! We have so many aspects of the Food Service Program that benefit the community during the holidays. The Bread of Life Community Kitchen is open to everyone, everyday of the year.

We serve breakfast and lunch to the homeless and hungry and invite them to sit in our dining hall together with their family and loved ones. On holidays, while families are spending Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner at home, the Mission is here for those who do not have a place to call "home" or a hot meal to enjoy on these special days. For families who aren’t able to afford food, the Mission makes available hundreds of canned items, freshly donated breads and produce, and frozen meats that are generously donated each day by local food provider partners. The Mission is joyful in fulfilling the mandate given to the church to feed the poor and needy.
