Long and Foster in Mt. Airy Holding Major Food and Clothing Drive It is encouraging to see large corporations give extra effort and time to help build a stronger community. Between the dates of August 15th - September 15th 2007 sixty agents and employees of Long and Foster in Mt. Airy will hold a food and clothing drive to benefit the Frederick Rescue Mission who has been selected for Long and Foster’s annual Community Service project. The donations will allow the Mission to continue providing Emergency Food Boxes, hot, nutritious meals, and quality clothing to men, women and children who are homeless or unable to afford such necessities. So far this year 38,829 meals have been served, 525 Food Boxes have been distributed, and $10,273 in clothing have been distributed to families all over the community.
Food and clothing drives from partners like Long and Foster in Mt. Airy make a great difference, especially as food supply has been critically low for the past few months and clothing is a continuous need.
You can drop off non-perishable food items and new or gently used clothing at Long and Foster in Mt. Airy between the hours of 9am-7pm, 7 days a week. Please ask for Michelle D’Ascenzo or Martie Harner who can both be reached at 301-831-7500.
