Beacon House Selected by Forrester Construction as their Annual Corporate Outreach Renovation Project
How do you renovate a 150 year old three story prison in downtown Frederick? The answer is simple. Just ask Forrester Construction Company’s Community Relations Committee. On Saturday, October 14, 2006, the Frederick Rescue Mission’s Beacon House has been chosen by Forrester Construction to receive a complete facelift as a part of their annual outreach service program.
Every year, Forrester selects an organization that matches certain criteria, and focuses on upgrading their facility as a way to reach out with not one, but hundreds of helping hands. During this annual event, Forrester recruits dozens of subcontractors, friends and family to participate in a one day restoration of this important Frederick landmark.
We invite you to join us for this historical event at the Frederick Rescue Mission this Saturday, October 14, 2006 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Update The Frederick Rescue Mission would like to thank Forrester Construction Company for their generous services and charitable heart. On Saturday, October 14th, Forrester and nearly 45 of their friends and family spent the day painting, replacing doors, and adding stair treads to the steps inside the Mission’s Beacon House.
Forrester has helped with the vision of a completely renovated building. The day was filled with people smiling, children laughing, and everyone working for the same cause, bringing glory to the Lord. They have brightened the atmosphere for the residents and community who we serve here everyday. It is a privilege to have been selected for Forrester’s annual outreach program. Thank you, Forrester Construction Company!
