Emily Moore EASTER DINNER PROVIDED Frederick’s Largest “Soup” Kitchen, the Frederick Rescue Mission, will provide lunch to the homeless and needy in Celebration of Easter
WHAT:
All community members—homeless, hungry, and
needy—are invited to attend the Frederick Rescue Mission’s annual Easter dinner.
Easter baskets, provided by New Life Foursquare Church’s youth group, will also
be provided for children up to age 15. WHEN: Sunday, April 12, 2009, from 12 pm to 4 pm

WHY: The Frederick Rescue Mission provides hearty, warm meals for the homeless and needy every day of the year for breakfast and lunch, and always on holidays. In honor of Easter, Christianity’s most significant celebration of the year, this Christian-based organization considers it a blessing to serve all who are in need. The Frederick Rescue Mission is the largest provider of hot meals to the homeless and working poor in Frederick, serving 300 meals a day for breakfast and lunch, as well as distributing emergency food boxes to over 150 needy families and individuals each month. They also give out free clothing and furniture to the needy and are a recovery home for men overcoming drug and alcohol addictions.
