Rescue Mission Needs School Supplies for Community’s Underprivileged Children

Every year the Frederick Rescue Mission holds a one month backpack drive to benefit the residents’ children as well as many children from the community. This year, the response has not been as fruitful as years past, possibly due to the fact that so many gave towards the food crisis from a couple of months ago.

Nevertheless, we would hate to see children who are signed up to receive a backpack not be able to because there were not enough in supply. If you would like to donate backpacks filled with school supplies, they can be dropped off by August 31st at 419 West South Street between the hours of 8am-8pm every day of the week. Crayons
Paper
Pencil cases
Rulers
