Residents at the Beacon House Receive Love from Strangers during Christmas

Every year the Frederick Rescue Mission engages in the Adopt-a-Family Christmas Program. This program connect individuals, companies, organizations, and churches in the Frederick Community to low income families and Beacon House residents who without the compassion of caring people would not enjoy the all the festivities of Christmas.

This Monday December 18, we invite you to share with us a special event when a local church will be delivering Christmas presents for the residents’ children between 3:15pm-4:00pm. Also, do not miss December 22nd at 8:30am when all presents that were provided by generous partners and friends of the Mission are distributed and opened. It is truly the most heartwarming day of the year here at the Mission seeing the residents, once broken and without love, smile because their hearts have been touched by complete strangers.

The Adopt-a-Family Program assures each man that his family will be cared for during Christmas time. These children can enjoy this Christmas with special gifts that will bring smiles to their faces and hope to their spirits. In many cases it is this assurance that allows the men to continue on in their journey with Jesus.

Please share with us this most rewarding cause.
